1. About this cookie policy
This cookie policy explains how BNS Construction Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Please read it alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in a comparable way. They can be used to make a website work, to remember your choices or to understand how a website is used.
3. How we use cookies
We only use cookies and similar technologies where they are needed to run this website, or where you have given your consent.
- Strictly necessary: our website hosting provider may use technologies that deliver pages securely and protect the website from misuse. These do not require your consent.
- Remembering your cookie choice: when you accept or reject cookies, we store your choice in your browser for six months so we do not ask you again on every page. This is needed to respect your choice and does not require consent.
- Google Map (only if you choose to show it): our Contact page includes a Google Map. It does not load until you click Show map, so Google sets no cookies before then. Once you show the map, Google may set its own cookies, which it explains in its own privacy policy. We remember that you chose to show the map in your browser for six months.
- Advertising (only if you accept): we use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, on every page of this website. It tells us which of our Facebook and Instagram adverts lead to enquiries and guide requests, and lets us show our adverts to people who have visited this website. It only runs after you click Accept on our cookie banner.
Cookies set by the Meta Pixel
- _fbp (set on this website, kept for 90 days): identifies your browser so Meta can measure visits to this website and the performance of our adverts.
- _fbc (set on this website, kept for 90 days): only set if you arrive by clicking one of our adverts, so Meta can link your visit to that advert.
- fr (set by Meta on facebook.com, kept for 90 days): used by Meta for advertising if you use Facebook in the same browser.
Meta may process this information outside the UK, and explains how it uses it in its own privacy policy. If you reject cookies, the Meta Pixel does not run. If you accept and later change your mind, the Meta Pixel stops and we remove the _fbp and _fbc cookies from this website.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Each browser explains how to do this in its help pages. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time in our cookie settings.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy when the cookies we use change. The latest version will be published on this page, together with the date it was last updated.
